Feb 4, 2012 - We find it much easier to sell practical things these days, it's much easier than selling antiques, jewelry etc. I think especially in this economy, people are more willing to buy used, esp. since we like to give people 48 hours to return items and get their money back, (CL only I mean). Good advice Dan!

Feb 5, 2012 - Yes practical items are much eaiser to move and antiques have really devauled the past couple of years. One thing I do if Im having trouble moving something I take it to local auction houses, this way it is an absolute sell total liquidation. There still are people buying the collectables just expect half of what the value was a few years back!

Feb 5, 2012 - i do only auctions and all i buy are tools and practical household items and i earn more than i ever did working for someone else and boy is it fun

Feb 8, 2012 - I ran out of space in my 2 car garage to house stuff I find at auctionsI Yes, I follow the KISS method...keep it simple stupid...agreed to not bite off more than you can chew to resell or it becomes one big mess.

StorageUnitAuctions Says:

Feb 10, 2012 - Yes indeed - too much stuff laying around your house from buying too many units at auction can get overwhelming to say the least.

StorageUnitAuctions Says:

Feb 10, 2012 - good strategy - I know many people who go to these auctions looking for specific items. Not me though - I go trying to sniff out value of any kind whether it's tools, furniture, antiques...whatever.

StorageUnitAuctions Says:

Feb 10, 2012 - There's still an ass for every seat but these days selling certain items are alot trickier. Usually that results in either having to hold on to things longer before you find your buyer or dumping it more quickly for a lower price.

StorageUnitAuctions Says:

Feb 10, 2012 - You're right - alot of items have dropped drastically in value. Sports memoribilia, comic books, hess trucks and the list goes on and on. It's the times...

StorageUnitAuctions Says:

Feb 10, 2012 - Indeed - if you have any questions of your own let me know...
