www.philhyman.com Anyone who has seen Alex Hyman in action quickly notices a cheerful and easy command of the camera com- bined with a precision and demeanor of craft that can only come with time and experience. Alex has been in- volved full time in the family photog- raphy business since 1991, and during that time he has been honored with prolific awards. Alex has had several photographic pieces that has received first place in the Art Category. Like any artist, Alex bears qualities that are unique to him as an individual. For instance, he favors a classical style of portraiture that utilizes classical furniture and natural props that capture children and families in their innate surroundings. Phil's first photographic goal was recog- nized when he received his Master's De- gree in Photography from the Professional Photographers of America after only seven years of practice and study. This accom- plishment was only the beginning. Phil's commitment to better the art of pho- tography everywhere quickly became evi- dent. Early on, he received the Prestige National Award, which is a mark of distinction granted to those who demonstrate a dedication to give back to the profession of photography. In addition, Phil was honored with the Craftsman Degree from the Professional Photographers of America while teaching and writing—nationally and internationally—for audiences that included everyone from the small town photographer to companies as well known as Kodak. Phil authored a book entitled "Phil Hyman's Secrets to Suc- cessful Photography," and served as the President of the Professional Photographers of South Carolina. Among his clientele, he counted not only numerous state government officials, but even former U.S. President Jimmy Carter! Phil Hyman has now been an involved member of the Upstate South Carolina community for nearly thirty-three years. Still a resident of the Greenville area, he continues to offer valuable contributions to photography everywhere, and perseveres in dreaming the dream he dared to pursue all those years ago.

Feb 10, 2012 - Kudos Alex! It's portrait photographers like yourself that give hope that future generations will know what their ancestors looked like. To deliver a disc is to say to the client "I'm in it for the fast buck and I don't care that in a few years, that CD will be obsolete." Keep up the good work friend, you are a true professional.
