story: the next morning. Elena's pov. i woke up with a headache but other than that i felt ok. The chemo had finished late last night and i had sunk into a deep sleep as soon as Sam and the other doctors/nurses left. Last night had been rough but not as bad as i'd expected. The second dose of Anti-Nausea tablets seemed to work. Damon, Jenna and Jeremy along with Stefan left just before i went to sleep and said they'd be back today. It was just the matter of waiting for them. What was i supposed to do? go to breakfast? no...i didn't want to risk being sick again. Go find people to talk to? hardly. i sighed and relaxed deeper into my bed. only to be interupted when i was finally comfortable. Sam came through the door and waved at me guilty. Sam: sorry if i woke you or anything but how are you today? i smiled. Elena: no worries, i was awake. i'm feeling way better today. Sam: thats good. you seem to have a hard reaction to chemotherapy so now that your feeling a little better would you like to get away from this place? i raised my eyebrows. what on earth was he on about? Elena: get away from this place? Sam nodded. Sam: i've rung Jenna and she said that you could go over to the flat for a few hours, if you want. obviously a doctor will be with you but it would be fun, right? i nodded and Sam headed for the door. i picked up my cell and rung Jenna. she answered. Jenna: Elena, sweety! how aree you? Elena: i'm fine but Sam said i could go over for the day? Jenna: yes of course! we want to show you the flat. Damon and Me, we've been doing some decorating. i didn't know what to say to that. Damon decorating? uh...no way... Elena: really? wow...um thats amazing. Jenna: yep! and your room is like your one in Mystic Falls....Jeremy said that he brought most of your stuff... i let her trail on about 20 more minutes of things they had done to the house. Damon and gone and bought flowers and such for the balcony. He had also sorted out the bedrooms and painted them. He had planned out the kitchen and chose the furniture for the front room. Jenna had done all the little thing like going out to buy things that would look nice in the rooms and bought the rugs, curtains etc. when i'd asked what Jeremy had done Jenna had said he had sat on the couch playing video games. sounds just like him. When Jenna finally hung up i got off the bed and felt a little dizzy. i stood very still for a few seconds and then stumbled over to my duffel bag. i picked out a top and a pair of skinny jeans and went into the washroom to brush my teeth and to brush my hair. i looked at my dark brown long hair in the mirror and new that by the end of this week something was going to happen to it. It was either going to fall out or get thinner and shorter. i sighed. (2 hours later) i was sat on the couch with Jeremy on my side. Damon was on the arm and leaning over me; brushing my hair back and murmering a little 'i love you' every now and again. Jenna came in from the little kitchen and handed me one of her home made cupcakes. i was about to taste a little of it when a stabbing pain shot through me and i doubled over in pain. ...........................................................................................................................................................................
