A truly lived-in Victorian dwelling - each room brims with activity however the dress / hat shop explodes with it . This is a much higher quality video showing greater detail than the original "Penultimate Victorian Dolls House" This Victorian dolls house has been compiled over many years. The items within come from all around the world. Real Stirling Silver knives forks and crystal glasses. Gold leaf picture frames and real bone china tableware and even real leather shoes. Many items inside have their own story - the silver cutlery and picture frames are made by a US commercial jet pilot who makes them in his spare time. The leather shoes are made by a lady who is also from the US who is a teacher by profession. Some items of furniture were made by a UK prison inmate so the items contained come from all walks of life... There are so many people who make items for dolls houses in their spare time but its only the best items my wife would buy which would find their way into her pride joy. As the video progresses you will see the many items within each of the rooms that go into making the whole dolls house "work" and if you keep hitting the pause button you will see more and more items. All I can add is that everything within this house is made of the same material as the real thing - but in miniature... I have had a small input into this as I made the flickering light in the gas lamp post outside the shop - it took six goes at getting a lamp that had the right flicker and rate / colour before my wife was happy with it to be installed... The wonder of this dollshouse is that it remains hidden from everyones eyes and its only when a person opens the front that a whole new world is revealed like a dream... Enjoy. version.

Jul 3, 2011 - @wowza191 Thanks for your kind comment - I was getting a bit worried because the last comment I had was rather unkind and I can only think that his computer speakers are very faulty. So glad you enjoyed the house and the more you view it the more detail you tend to see... Regards Peter

Jul 3, 2011 - @brucepeter2007 : Oh I heard it too, but I was so amazed by the doll house, the farting noise didn't worry me haha. But I loved it, I'm currently making my own, well, not making really, I'm collecting doll house parts for my victorian house, and just seeing other houses, yours is just...brilliant, the little details and things make the house, It's amazing...

Jul 3, 2011 - @wowza191 Now I know what it is - its the mixing of the audio with the video when I used the old version of a video editor - Nothing I can do about it now but glad it did not spoile your enjoyment. Good luck with your venture and you will find you will replace things a lot as you will always find something that just does not fit. Try and get along to the best dollshouse show at Kensington Town Hall - the exhibitors are invitation only and its very nice gear from all over Europe the USA

Jul 3, 2011 - @brucepeter2007 : Well I hope I don't have to replace things, I'm not made of money haha. And I'll be sure to do that :) You take care x

Jul 19, 2011 - This kind of houses scare me. If I were a doll, I would be terrified. But is wonderful, a magnifique piece of art.

brucepeter2007 Says:

Jul 20, 2011 - @Sanchoelmalo Thanks for the comment - me and the wife worked hard to make it as real as we could without spending a fortune - but my wife Jan did go too far on a lot of items but they are unique as they are "one off" and made by people from many countries. It s just so nice to share with others to show what can be done and there are a lot out there better than ours... Regards Peter Janet

Aug 9, 2011 - This is great, what attention to detail. I love it so much and want to see more. Maybe you could make a miniature vid of some Victorian novel, maybe Pride and Prejudice or something. That would be cool. Excellent doll house and figures,

Oct 13, 2011 - @TDArulesclub4 Thanks so much for your kind words. I think it is "escapist" in a way as reality can be such a pain sometimes so to look in each room and let your mind wonder is great. Regards Peter

Oct 13, 2011 - I've done some research into starting my own dolls house and I can tell you whoever put this house together dropped - easily - over 3 grand. And that's just an estimate on the accessories! The house along most definitely cost them another couple hundred. They did an awesome job in selecting the accessories and dolls and actually succeeded in making this little house seem almost like a live Victorian home. Great job whoever did this!

brucepeter2007 Says:

Oct 13, 2011 - @damnatureufkdup Thanks for you words of wisdom and you are right on the cost factor but I must point out that each part is a small cost and that was how it was built up over a few years to get it right. The cost was never an issue because of the fun we both had doing the project. Going to shows within about 100 miles and meeting the people who make the items was also fun. Fantastic project for my wife and me at the time.

damnatureufkdup Says:

Oct 14, 2011 - @brucepeter2007...yes, they ARE really a lot of fun! I've always been attracted to and intrigued by miniatures and a dolls house is the perfect venue for showcasing little things. Funny how those little things add up though, huh ") Question - did the two of you find any online communities or blogs that allowed people to exchange ideas and/or affordable places/sites to purchase items?

brucepeter2007 Says:

Oct 14, 2011 - @damnatureufkdup Reply - In reply to your question we found little help on-line or in most mags because the best cost effective bits are a cottage industry type of thing - you only found them at more local dolls house fairs. The best show we found in the UK was the Kensington Dolls House Fair which had traders who had to be "invited" and you had the best makers from Europe and even the USA selling their wares. You just have to see with your own eyes what your buying so it "looks right"

damnatureufkdup Says:

Oct 21, 2011 - @brucepeter2007..oh, I see. Ok, well thank you so much for your reply and advice! Keep up the great job in creating your little spaces!
