9 "Dad!" I yelled again. Why isn't he answering? I took a step forward but Joe shot out his hand in front of me. "Careful." He whispered. He took slow steps towards the kitchen door. I followed. We burst through the door. "Welcome home..." An unfamiliar voice spoke. My eyes fell onto a man standing at the head of our dinner table. I had never seen him before. His light hair was reseeding and small creases had formed on his forehead due to the smirk that lay on his face. "Taylor." Joe growled. "In the flesh." He said, his eyes flashing to the deathly black. "But Taylor's in the hospital." I said, my eyebrows brought together in confusion. "Yes, but this is the demon that possessed him." Joe explained quickly. "I really miss that kid." The demon paced around the kitchen. "He had such...youth compared to this guy." "Where's my dad?" I burst out, having enough of this pointless talking. "Oh he's fine for now. If you don't come with me, however, he will be in a world of danger." He threatened. "You leave him alone!" I screamed. I lunged towards the demon. "Demi! No!" Joe yelled. He attempted to pull me back but I got away. I threw myself onto the demon but he pushed me off with ease causing me to go crashing to the floor. I grunted in pain but forced myself to stand up. "You have to be a good girl if you want your father to survive." He teased. My face was contorted with anger as hot tears spilled out of my eyes. I quickly diverted my sight to Joe. He was standing tensely, his eyes glued on the demon. "So Demi. Shall we get going?" The demon took a few steps closer to me and held out his hand. My thoughts flashed to my dad. I can't let him be in danger. I slowly raised my hand and as I was about to place it into the demons, Joe yelled. I was harshly pushed to the floor and gasped in shock when I saw Joe ontop of the demon. I quickly got up and rushed to Joe's aid. "Let him go!" I screamed. "Demi, no!" In a swift movement I was thrown off my feet. I felt my head crash into the kitchen counter before I lost sight of everything. -- The rest soon. Comments please :)
