Diddy's Starmaker performers live together in a Los Angeles mansion (featuring custom furniture by Gus Design) where romantic relationships, alliances and arguments flare up as the hopefuls navigate their way to stardom. Former American Idol contestant Kimberly Caldwell serves as the host of P. Diddy's Starmaker, while the contestants will be judged by the likes of performer Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins, music industry executive Tamara Conniff and choreographer Laurie Ann Gibson. Additionally, celebrity guest judges Pete Wentz (Fall Out Boy), Nicole Scherzinger (Pussy Cat Dolls), Lady Gaga and Kelly Rowland will also weigh in over the course of the competition. Noted artist manager Johnny Wright will mentor the contestants along the way and guide each one through the P. Oct 4, 2009 - Melody does have a unique voice, with certain songs, I like her. I think her attitude is what turned me off. When she did her own song, it was lovely. but to me the one that deserves to stay is Lorianne and David. I love his voice!

And its funny u say she has no place judging singin yet u say most singers need a lot of work, I guess u have a music degree or something.. Anyway, point is Laurie works with singers all the time, she knows a great singer from an 'ok' singer [well most people do I s'pose], she knows when people can push their voices, how they can sing and connect the song with their movement.. Shes a great judge.

Nov 18, 2009 - My point is she keeps telling people they are doing great or singing the right way when they are. Although i am no expert I have taken voice lessons and do sing myself. I am by no means a professional singer but I know the difference between chest voice and head voice and a lot of these singers sing in their head voice and almost never go into chest voice. You can tell by how breathy they are and they sound terrible... it's like whispering "I Will Always Love You."

Most shows I watch I get annoyed when there are really good singers who dont 'push, they sing like their singing at home rather than really going for it or using the 'chest voice' as you say. I only said that comment because it reminded me of when Jordan got really annoyed with Laurie Ann when she told him singing wasnt his strong point and he said she should stay within her ''jurisdiction''..
