May 26, 2012 - I highly doubt it. I've heard animals like dogs cats like petting because it's like their mother licking them, which isn't exactly common in reptiles. I don't have much experience with reptiles, but I never saw my friend petting their crocs (including when they were babies) even though they had many other exotic animals (not reptiles) that could do quite a deal of harm, that they have close relationships with and seemed to enjoy being pet.

May 24, 2012 - I don't agree they should be pets. They have too many wild instincts just like tigers or apes. They're your pet one second, the next you're dead. (I'm a girl) I don't like when women get attached to these kinds of animals, that's how they are really in danger (or especially their friends). If you do keep a crocodile/alligator pet, always keep it in a big enclosure. Or get an iguana... just as big, not dangerous, but still highly not recommended.
