With this handy machine you can scan anything you are able to hold in front of the sensor and find out what "color" it is.

Jan 21, 2007 - notice how all 3 of those matches weren't even close to the originals? Yeah, that's cause it doesn't work. I work for THD and I don't even go near the thing

Jan 22, 2007 - Yr SS card has 2 shades of blue, red black. The match combined 'em all to give u yr color. The machine wont match clear objects. Notice the second card came close. It will only give u the CLOSEST Behr color match. The HD employee wont go near it because he doesnt know how it works is afraid of exposing his lack of knowledge.

Jan 22, 2007 - I know exactly how it works; as you admitted, it only gives the closest Behr match, and their colour board leaves a lot to be desired in the first place... I avoid it because it gives the customer the wrong impression and the store's colour matcher is far more accurate

Jumpa31 Says:

Jan 23, 2007 - Look closer, its says "Find your perfect match, co-ordinate colors perfectly". Thats it's purpose, to coordinate colors. If customer doesnt know this, the paint people are avoiding the customer using it. The color pallete is sufficient. Anything beyond it comes from the artistry of the paint folks. If they cant, they're in the wrong department. When at work, go open a gal of Behr 3050 and a Glidden 6411 compare whiteness. The whiter Behr lets the qualified paint assoc make any color.
