the "cartagena collection" is my latest accomplishment in this perpetually unfolding learning and creative process called life... multi-functional, handmade, solid wood furniture... inspired by the juxtaposition of the modern glass steel and concrete world we live in... and the warmth and character of wood, of a different time when old world artisan craftsmanship and its textures, colors, and materials defined our existence... i chose a renewable tropical wood indigenous to colombia called caidita for the project... caidita, part of laurel family of trees, is greatly esteemed and widely used in this part of the world - for many centuries - by both artisans and boat builders alike because of its beauty, strength and stability, and its natural properties resistant to moisture, rot, and insects... please contact me with your inquires and question... regards!
