Presentation of "Sustainable Devt. of Natural Resources" DENR Legacy Part 2 Malacanang 04 June 2010 A report of DENR's milestones under the leadership of President Arroyo was handed over to her in Malacanang today. Testimonials from different sectors was also heard which includes the mining industry, land and forestry. Chamber of Mines President Phillip Romualdez led the the group of beneficiaries of the Sustainable Natural Resources Program of the government. The Mayor of Bataraza, Palawan, Chieftain of Subanen tribe in Zamboanga Del Norte, land patent holders and representatives of the wood and furniture industry personally thanked the President in implementing effective measures in revitilizing these sectors. President Arroyo was also given a special marble artwork as the first "Ang Minera" award, immortalizing her unparalleled leadership and support in bringing enlightenment to different govt. agencies and private companies to review and align their ways alongside the principles of sustainability and responsible mining.
