May 27, 2011 - will this absorb higher freq. waves as well?

123decoeli Says:

Jun 10, 2011 - Yes

killermagnet Says:

Aug 10, 2011 - Yes, however the density of your fabric may impact how much of a given frequency will be absorbed.

boatswainrich Says:

Nov 7, 2011 - Thanks for the video!

WoodA1985 Says:

Nov 10, 2011 - FYI....The PDF Link is actually...basstraps(dot)net\DIY-BASS-TRAPS-MADE-EASY(dot)pdf

NortheDominator Says:

Nov 27, 2011 - ok... so that rock wool.. is that a brand or type of insulation.. i went to get some they only have insulation for different areas of the house...ie. R13, R29, R30 so i cant find it.. what would be the closest to it in regular insulation.??

bucket47 Says:

Dec 7, 2011 - I can't find these rockwool slabs!! help me!?

timviolin Says:

Jan 3, 2012 - What type of fabric would be ideal for eliminating higher frequencies?

uhaveachode1 Says:

Jan 4, 2012 - what material did you use to prevent the insulation fibre from getting into the air? my sister has athsma and it is a bit of a concern. also how di you hang it on a wall?

604psysutra604 Says:

Jan 7, 2012 - Well, I've heard that corners should be covered by foam bass traps- triangle or quart-cylinder. Sorry 4 my english :)

killermagnet Says:

Jan 11, 2012 - Hang it like a picture / use a fabric that does not allow particulate matter to escape. (try to blow through the fabric while holding it to your lips - if it is even a little hard to blow through, it should work well)

kasskass28 Says:

Jan 30, 2012 - thank you

Timjvidoes Says:

Feb 13, 2012 - Thanks for the video. I happen to have 4 unopened packages of Roxul that I'm planning on making some traps from. :)

ManFraElMalicioso Says:

Feb 21, 2012 - does putting the frame behind it create the 2inch space they recommend having behind the actual absorption material? or just because its easier to hang it?

MarcAntoineVezina Says:

Feb 27, 2012 - So its too take out bass? Can i use board thingys for painting?

callumgosling Says:

Mar 11, 2012 - I tried to go to the website to download the pdf but it says the page isn't found has anyone got it they can send to me?

E2thebank Says:

Apr 11, 2012 - Yes, because the piece of wood is a 1x2, so the 703 or Rockwool will be two inches off of the wall.

dronbana Says:

Apr 18, 2012 - Hey, what cloth are you using? Also, does glasswool get the job done instead of rockwool?

killermagnet Says:

Apr 18, 2012 - Fabric: You can use almost any fabric. Find something you really like, then - hold a single layer of the material to your lips and try to blow through it. If the fabric yields even a modest amount of resistance, it'll likely hold in the particulate matter from the acoustical medium you choose.

killermagnet Says:

Apr 18, 2012 - Rockwool, Glaswool, Fiberglass: Glaswool is just as good as rockwool in many cases. Look for 3lb pcf or roughly 48.1 kg/m3 (metric) density material. 140kg m3 density (8lb pcf) is fine too if using rockwool. For glaswool (fiberglass), this density would be too much for broadband (bass trap) absorption. You can get fabric from Ready Acoustics (on the web), JoAnn Fabrics (in the States), WalMart, and literally any store that carries sewing supplies, etc.

E2thebank Says:

May 15, 2012 - Why are the dimensions for the wood shorter than the dimensions for the fiberglass? I'm sure there's an obvious reason, but I just don't know.

superlevideo Says:

May 19, 2012 - link to the pdf is broken. Please provide a new link. thank you.

bujoun76 Says:

May 20, 2012 - I followed every step carfully and it worked! Thanks for the video!..

Guitarwizard Says:

May 21, 2012 - why are the wood pieces an inch or 2 short of the panel dimensions? Im using 24x48 oc705
