Great Wolf Lodge Opens With A Splash In The Pocono Mountains Family Resort + Indoor Waterpark = Unprecedented Fun! Making a Grand Entrance Guests arriving at the resort will immediately be struck by its size and scope: A four-story, log- sided resort on a 95-acre site, encompassing 433,020 feet of construction. Upon entering the lodge, they find themselves in a 6,600-square-foot Grand Lobby designed to provide a northwoods cabinesque atmosphere that feels like a warm living room where they are encouraged to gather. To the left stands a massive, fieldstone fireplace, while on the right, a fishing cabin-themed guest service counter. The lobby is furnished with hand-carved tables, over-stuffed furniture, antler chandeliers, and a performing Great Clock Tower that features animated friends of the forest, who come to life daily and sing the lessons of the Rhythm of Nature. Five different songs entertain guests three times daily with 12-minute shows. Following the 8 p.m. show, families adjourn to the fireplace where storytime takes place and, at any given time, one might find guests relaxing and chatting or playing board and card games available for checkout at the Games Den. Its a place where togetherness is encouraged and the lost art of actually hanging out and enjoying one anothers company is restored. A Resort for All Seasons After checking in, guests stay in a choice of 10 different suite configurations, including standard and premier layouts, such as the two-bedroom Grizzly BearTM Suite which can sleep up to eight, the Loft Fireplace Suite, and childrens themed suites including the Wolf DenTM, KidCabin® and KidKampTM, each complete with its own cozy private room within a room for kids. Unlike many resorts, which are greatly impacted by seasonality, Great Wolf Lodge defies vacation weather constraints by providing an experience that can be enjoyed equally any time of the year. At the center of this experience and of the resort itself is the main attraction Bear Track LandingTM. A colossal, 90-foot tall, 78,000 square-foot indoor waterpark complex, Bear Track Landing greets guests with Fort MackenzieTM, a 12-level treehouse waterfort interconnected with suspension bridges, cargo nets, web crawls and over 60 guest activated water effects. A nearly 1,000-gallon tipping bucket suspended at the top offers guests a thrilling introduction to one of the worlds largest indoor waterparks. Completely under one roof, the waterpark is exclusive to resort guests to ensure the safest, most user-friendly experience possible for guests. It features 12 waterslides, ranging in size from kiddie slides to fast-paced tube slides that wind in and out of the indoor waterpark, and six pools including a massive indoor wave pool, recreation pool, lazy river and a zero-depth entry pool for even the youngest water fans. The waterpark is staffed by nearly 100 lifeguards nationally certified by Ellis Associates, a leading aquatic safety training company. About Great Wolf Resorts, Inc.
